Biography

My name is Tony Thach [toʊni θætʃ], and I am a graduate student at the University of Iowa pursuing an MA in Linguistics. I am currently working as a lab manager for the Language Development and Experimental Syntax Lab. I always had an interest in languages and how different languages work. As a kid, I grew up around the English, Vietnamese, and Khmer languages and went on to study Spanish in high school and Japanese in college. My research interests are in syntactic theory, bilingual language acquisition with a focus on heritage speakers, and how multiple languages are processed in the mind.
